Chalkboard connects Sessions, notes, scores, photos, table layouts, results, and later review. It is meant to preserve context that a score alone cannot.

Chalkboard is a pool journal for players who want to remember what happened, why they made a decision, and what deserves attention next, not just the final score.
Chalkboard is in private alpha. Signing in requires invite-only access.
Who it is for
Players who want a clearer view of their own table time.
Use it for deliberate practice, casual or competitive matches, league nights, and tournaments. Players at every level can keep a useful journal without turning each session into a statistics exercise.
You do not need every feature on day one.
Start a session, write one useful note, and end with one afterthought. Add scoring, photos, table layouts, favorites, or deeper review only when they help answer a real question about your play.

Before play
Start the session you are actually playing.
Open the web app and sign in with your private-alpha access. New Session gives you a quick path and a detailed path.

Describe the session naturally, such as a solo nine-ball practice at your local room, and review the details before starting.

Choose the session type, game, location, opponent, and other context yourself.

Chalkboard can organize practice, matches, league play, tournaments, and other table time without forcing every session into the same shape.

During play
Record enough to make the session useful later.
Active Session is the working page for the table. Add context as you need it; leave the rest alone.

Notes and tags
Write down a decision, miss, adjustment, or reminder and add tags that help you find the theme again.

Photos and favorites
Attach a photo when it adds context, and favorite the notes that deserve deliberate review.

Tools, scorekeeper, and results
Open session tools or keep score during a set, then preserve the result with the rest of the session record.

Table work
Save the layout when the position is the lesson.
Table Library holds visual records that can stand alone or stay linked to the session where they happened.

Build the position
Place balls to recreate the table and keep the layout understandable when you return.

Save a shot sequence
Document the intended order and path instead of relying on a paragraph to explain the pattern.

Add decision context
Note why you chose the shot and where the cue ball needed to finish, especially when position was the real problem.

After play
Close the session while the lesson is still clear.
Ending a session creates a useful stopping point, not a demand for a long report.

Save the result when the session had one, along with any final score context you want to keep.

Write an afterthought
Capture the one adjustment, pattern, or question you want to carry forward.

Return to history
The completed record joins Sessions so it is ready for search, filtering, and future review.
